Work System
Industries / Construction & trades

Every site, every order, every task. One screen.

Builders, scaffolders, electricians, groundworkers: the Hub tracks the jobs on each site, the materials ordered for them, who's where, what tickets they hold and what's owed to the client in a report.

What usually goes wrong

"Did that order go in?"

Site asks for materials in the group chat, the office orders them, nobody confirms. Monday morning, no plasterboard. The Hub flags the unconfirmed order on day two.

The snagging list on a bit of paper

Photographed, sent to three people, lost. In the Hub it's a list per plot with photos, ticked off by the site team, ready for the handover meeting.

Who's got a valid ticket?

CSCS, CPCS, asbestos awareness, working at height. On a spreadsheet nobody has opened since the last audit. The Hub counts down every one.

The modules a construction & trades Hub usually starts with

In the order most businesses switch them on. Add or skip any of them.

A day with the Hub

07:00

Site lead opens his list: today's tasks for Plot 4, delivery due at 10, a snag to photograph.

09:30

He raises a materials request from his phone. The office turns it into an order and emails the supplier from the Hub.

14:00

Office sees the kitchen units order still unconfirmed from last week. Chase email already written. Sent.

Friday

The fortnightly report for the client is drafted from the week's tasks, deliveries and snags. Office checks it, sends it.

Questions from construction & trades

Can site staff order materials themselves?

They raise a request from their phone with what, how many and when needed. The office approves it and places the order, so prices and suppliers stay with the office.

Can we track what we priced against what we're spending?

Yes. Upload the tender, record orders against it, and see where each job is running against what was priced.

Does it do programmes and Gantt charts?

Not as a drawing tool. It tracks the tasks, who's doing them and whether they're done, which is usually what the programme was trying to tell you.

We have subcontractors as well as our own staff. Does that work?

Yes. Subcontractors can be set up as staff with their own tickets and tasks, and marked as external so you can report on them separately.
